HAS

High School
Aerospace Scholars

HAS begins with an interactive online learning experience for high school juniors in Texas. Selected students are nominated by their State Legislator, have an interest in science, technology, engineering or mathematics and are encouraged to pursue high-tech careers. Top-scoring participants are then invited to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston for a six-day hands-on experience in the summer.

MAS

Middle School
Aerospace Scholars

This is a unique program designed for middle school teachers. Also funded by the State of Texas and administered by NASA’s Johnson Space Center, selected teachers participate in a one-week summer professional development workshop at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Teams of teachers learn to integrate NASA instructional materials into their classroom curriculum and develop an action plan to implement during the school year.

NCAS

NASA Community
College
Aerospace Scholars

In this national program, STEM-focused community college students interested in NASA related careers participate in a five-week online learning experience. Top scoring scholars receive invitations to attend a three-day workshop at a NASA center. NCAS provides two sessions a year, spring and fall.
