The Oklahoma State University (OSU) NASA NAS website has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy when using this Web site (the "Site"). Your participation is very important to us, and we value the information you provide.

Your privacy will be respected and the confidentiality of your answers will be maintained as described in this Policy.

Your name, address, phone number, personal information, and individual responses will only be used as described in this Policy and will not otherwise be disclosed to anyone without your consent.

Information Usage

We may use aggregate information (information not personally identifying you) collected on this Site to improve the Site and for our project activities. For example, we may share information with NASA in an aggregate, anonymous form, which means the shared information will not contain nor be linked to any information personally identifying you.

Unless you give consent, we will only use personal information (such as your name, e-mail address, phone number and other information specifically identifying you) for the following reasons: (1) internally to directly contact you regarding the project or respond to your questions sent to us; (2) to compile the aggregate information described above; or (3) if required to release personal information because of a court order, government agency, or by law.

We will never sell your personal information to a third party without your consent, however, to the extent permitted by law, you agree personal information may be transferred to another institution if there is a reassignment of this project. Access to personal information is limited to our employees and agents with a need to access such information for the purposes set forth in this Policy.

Security

In order to certify confidential information is kept private, OSU uses a state-of-the-art, industry-standard firewall security system. This system uses a multistage inspection methodology, which ensures only authenticated users can input their information into the database system and only appropriate OSU and NASA employees are allowed access.

Changes to Policy

We reserve the right to change, add, or remove portions from this Policy at any time. However, if any change involves a plan to use your personal information in a way differing from this Policy, we will first obtain your prior consent. When your consent is required for any action under this Privacy Policy, you agree OSU may obtain your consent by an "opt-in" or "opt-out" method, or by other means (such as sending an e-mail).

Cookies

This Site may use "session cookies" to improve our service. Session cookies contain data loaded into a computer's random access memory, and only works during the browser session. When the browser exits, these “temporary cookies” are erased.
